My first Card Set

Hello Friends,

Today I worked on my first Christmas Card Set.  I am donating this set to the 2nd Annual Rosa's Pursuit for Hope Charity event.  I met Rosa at the LIVESTRONG program at the Y.  Rosa is a wonderful person and I wanted to do something special to help Rosa's fundraising.  The money raised will be donated to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute/Jimmy Fund in Boston.  You can read all about Rosa's story and the charity event here.  If you can, please make a donation for Rosa!

Joshua's theme this year was Toy Story and Priscilla's was Thinkerbell.  These were quick cards I made for them. I used Paint Shop Pro X2 to create the design around the images.  It came out nice!

Birthday Cards and Grandparents Day Card

Hello my friends,

I have some cards to share with you today.

I made this card for my mom for Grandparents day

Last Saturday we celebrated my niece Amber's Birthday.  I made this card for Amber.

My niece Candice loves Japanese animation.  This card was made to celebrate her 17th birthday, which is today!

And the last card I want to share with you today, is the card I made for a dear co-worker that retired from work a few months ago.  I miss her.

My first published card!

Hello friends,

I wanted to share with you my first published card.

Cancer Cannot

The card was published in the Paper Crafts - Card Ideas for Paper Crafters  magazine and it went on sale today.  The card is very special to me because it my first published card, but also because it was inspired by my own fight with breast cancer.  I completed my treatment July 29th.   What better present than finishing cancer treatment and getting my first card published!  :-)

Hello Everyone,

About a month ago I submitted 4 cards to the Paper Craft magazine for a upcoming special issue called  Paper Crafts Go to Sketch 2.  Two weeks ago I was notified that one of the cards I submitted will be published on the magazine!  I am so excited!  There was 2760 submissions to the magazine and they chose 288 cards to published.  This was my first time submitting my cards to a magazine for publishing.  The card they picked is a very special card to me and I am so glad that is the one that was selected.  The release date of the special issue is August 9th, 2011.  I can't show you the card until it gets published,  but I can show you the other cards that didn't got picked.

Hello!

Last week we went to a friend's daughter 3rd birthday party.  Princess Sophia.  I made this card for Sophia.  Michael tells me it is the most beautiful card I have made. :-)

I am pretty happy how it came out, especially the bow.  I have a lot of trouble tying pretty bows, but practice makes it perfect.  :-)

I used the sketch below (from the latest Paper Craft Magazine) to put the card together.

Moxie Fab - Tuesday Trigger

At the Moxie Fab blog they have a new Tuesday trigger with this beautiful picture of a yellow door.

I decided to have fun with this picture and created the following card:

Celebrate the good things

I used the black boots are inspiration to the black card. I used the door color and design to create the lattice in the card. The roses where inspired by the vase in top of the table.  I had fun with this card!

Supplies:

Cardstock: Black and Yellow from Bazzill Basic Paper; White from Neenah Paper.
Pigment Ink: Black Colorbox
Stamp: Celebrate the good things by Studio G
Punches: Martha Stewart Lattice Punch
Flower design from Garden Rose Graphic Set by Lettering Delights  printed on a transparency.
